10 Cempaka Students Recognised in Premier’s VCE Awards

The annual Premier’s VCE Awards recognises students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). MLC is pleased to announce that 10 students have achieved a place on the Premier’s 2020 awards list for outstanding achievement in their studies last year.
 

All Rounder

The Top All-Round VCE High Achiever Award is awarded to students who have achieved study scores of 46 or higher in at least five VCE studies. Scored VET studies are included in the count of studies.
 
A total of 23 students were recognised as Top All-Round VCE High Achievers, including MLC graduate Kirrily Bortolussi. Congratulations on an outstanding achievement Kirrily!
 

Study Awards

Students must have a study score of 46 or above to qualify for a Premier’s VCE Study Award. A total of 297 Study Awards were presented, with 9 MLC students among them:
 

  • Alexandra Atcheson, Biology
  • Anya Ross, Business Management
  • Charlotte Young, Hospitality Kitchen Operations (VCE VET)
  • Erin Joy, Business (VCE VET)
  • Kestin McNamara, Hospitality (VCE VET)
  • Lara Christie, Accounting
  • Mia Blackman, Business (VCE VET)
  • Sarah Cato, Physical Education
  • Zetong Zhang, Chinese First Language

 
Congratulations to all our award recipients for their hard work during what was a particularly challenging year for our Year 12 students. We’d also like to congratulate the teachers of our award recipients for guiding and supporting these students to achieve their best.
