After eight exceptional years leading MLC, Ms Diana Vernon has advised the Board of her decision to conclude her second term as Principal at the end of the 2022 academic year. Diana will be returning to the UK to be with her family following what will have been nine years in Australia. 
  
Diana has led the College with distinction since her appointment as Principal in 2014.  Importantly, Diana has driven the College’s continued focus on student wellbeing, learning and the enhanced academic achievement for all students, including the enviable excellence achieved by our Year 12 students each year. 
 
Diana’s leadership has enriched the development of a strong, passionate and dedicated leadership team.  With this team, Diana has continued to build upon the solid foundation and exemplary reputation of MLC.
 
The impact of Covid has been extraordinarily challenging for our communities, and we are forever grateful to Diana and her team for the resilience and adaptability they have shown in leading the College through these times. Diana will continue to lead the College through a different, but hopefully far more positive, 2022. 
 
The recruitment process has commenced, and the Board is working closely with a search firm on a national and international search for the next Principal to lead the College from 2023.
